Seattle Area cross-neighborhood efforts: West Seattle group leaders meet monthly with the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and representatives from several other neighborhoods; we work together on training and other preparedness matters. See the OEM's Neighborhood Preparedness page for an overview of this community planning project; we are one of three pilot districts. You'll find details in the Community Planning for Disasters (.pdf file) document.

Wallingford: Here's an overview of what's happening there; their group's meetings and events are posted on Sustainable Wallingford's notice board (see "Community Preparedness" link in lower half of home page).

Capitol Hill: A new group, Capitol Hill Preparedness People (CHiPP), began forming in January 2010. They've also launched a new 'blog and a new Facebook page.
